ISS RULES
  1. Students are to remain seated at all times unless instructed otherwise by the ISS administrator.

  2. Students are not to talk without permission

  3. Students will not be allowed to sleep and may possibly be asked to stand up if they cannot stay awake.

  4. Students are not allowed to leave the Alternative School building except at designated times or with permission of the ISS administrator.

  5. Students who are tardy, absent, or do not complete their daily work (for any reason) will be assigned an additional day of ISS.

  6. All students will have assigned seating (cubicles) and will be expected to keep their cubicles clean.

  7. No food, gum, drinks, candy, or tobacco products of any kind will be allowed in the Alternative School Building.

  8. When assigned to ISS, all regular school rules apply--including dress and grooming codes.

  9. Students will be required to compete a questionnaire, ISS assignments, and write an essay on why they were assigned ISS, and they will also be asked to include a positive resolution to their behavior in that situation.

  10. Students must work on assignments at all times. Once an assignment(s) has been completed, students should raise their hands so they can be provided additional work to complete.

  11. All assignments must be completed by following the directions provided by the classroom teacher or the ISS administrator.

  12. No personal belongings will be allowed inside the student's cubicle. The ISS administrator will provide the students with assignments and pens/pencils.

  13. Students should raise their hand to ask a question, get help with an assignment, or when an assignment has been completed. Talking, making noises, and/or communication with other students will not be tolerated.

  14. Instructions given by the ISS administrator will be followed at all times.

  15. When students enter the Alternative School Building, they will surrender all personal belongings, including their cell phone, backpacks, purses, etc. All items will be removed from the student's pockets and placed in a container with their assigned number. Students will receive their personal belongings at the end of the school day.
